My boy exclaimed the other day that Swiper needs to be choked out. My little girl said, nah, just shoot him with the AK. Parenthood in AZ is so cool.

On the SERPA. AT a FOF class we had, a student ( a highly trained guy and an instructor in his own right) drew during a highly dynamic drill and as the trigger finger pressing the retention piece was dragged clear during the draw, it entered the trigger guard and fired an airsoft shot into his holster. I think we wrote a piece on it in Warrior News.

In another class, a weapon retention class, a student was asking about weapon retention characteristics. I advised I could rip the holster right off his belt. He asked me to try it. End result - his holster got ripped off the belt. It still contained the Red Gun, but I had it.

I agree with Paul. The holster is a poor design. It would not be my first choice.

Yeah, that was during the CRG2/XtremeCRG back in late April.

Quite an eye opener. Since that class, I have cautioned at least three buddies against buying that POS holster.

I just emailed our training officer. Guess we won't be on the Christmas list either.

The Safariland security holster with belt loops is a good choice, as is just about any quality belt holster that uses belt loops instead of a paddle.

IMO, probably the best choice is an inside the waistband holster. The bad guy has to come through you to try to get to the gun, and the holster won't come through your pants.

Your skill level and interest play a large part in what holster makes the most sense for you. Personally, I'm a big fan of leather IWB holsters for daily concealed carry. That is what I carry. That is what I teach with. That is what I take 99% of my personal training and all of my personal practice with.

Hey. I just had a thought. I'll bet SQUAT magazine has raved about it!

I'm sure they have, but then again, I wouldn't know because I don't like to pollute my mind with trash.

Does Blackhawk not allow users to post negative reviews of their products on their website? I just visited their site and they have many user reviews of this holster, and all of them are highly positive, with many users saying it is the finest holster they have ever seen.

Gomez, any change of getting a contradictory opinion posted on the Blackhawk site? If I hadn't read anything except what was on their site, I would think this holster was the greatest invention of the decade.

Cheers,
DR
